What stops us from receiving messages?
Our psyche is a noisy place, and the information we often receive through meditation practices to quiet the mind, and ask question may appear to be true. No matter how we see the world most experiences are a veil of illusions, with a focus often on the external.
Our own separate self-centered self, experiences a sense of lack, that we are incomplete. Comparing ourselves to others, thinking we are better than others, have more possessions, a better job and make more money builds our self-esteem. Our lives have been geared to focus on what is outside of ourselves that gives us a form of existence. And, there is a part of our ego afraid of losing control and would rather not have this experience.
Unfortunately, our ego stands in the path of receiving and hearing with clarity the voice of your higher self.
It is difficult for your conscious mind to comprehend. Our ego is the most subtle of challenges when we are on a spiritual path.
