Happiness Comes from You – Not to You

where do you find happiness

Where do you find happiness?

When you were young you responded to what the outside world presented to you.  As you matured, you learned to manage and control your reactions in accordance to what you found to make you happy with least resistance.

Unfortunately, these reactions  regularly repeated become habits that start to become unconscious.  Many of the habits you created from childhood have continued long in your adult life where these reactions became your standard way of being.

When we are reacting to what the world presents to us makes us a ‘victim of circumstance’.  This robs us of the choices and the possibilities that lie before us and diminish our ability to be creative.

We have Choice

Having choice is one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves, without exception!   Consciously making the choice to change and to have what you want you must break away from the dependent excuses, habits from childhood, and then, only then, can you start to exercise the freedom to respond to any circumstance the way you want.

So is it that easy?  Not really, at least from my perspective.  There is every only 24 hours in a day.  The quality and quantity of how we experience that time is often not what we desire or plan.

An easy way to create more of what we want and less of what we don’t is about taking personal responsibility and becoming conscious of the decisions we make at any point in time.

Some years back when I attended a personal development program  (over six months) my facilitator asked me in front of 1000 people ‘when will I stop playing the victim?”  Wow!

This came as a really surprise to me as consciously I was not aware of what I was doing, but subconsciously I was doing this to gain attention?  The habit I created didn’t achieve any great results but the awakening changed my life.

Being responsible

I was too blinded to see the obvious myself.  But equally important,  I developed to trust where I was with the things that were happening around me and decided to take personal responsibility.   The transformation has been a journey and an never ending discovery of my self-identity.

♥In what areas of your life can you assume more personal responsibility?

♥Do you have the courage to take full personal responsibility for everything you think, feel and do, without blaming yourself?

♥Take a good look at what is going on around you.  What is going on?

♥Is it what  you want?

Are you Willing?

Your willingness to accept is indeed a gift.  Embrace this as a way of life, and develop  the personal responsibility that will provide you personal freedom.

Taking personal responsibility for all your actions, empowers you, strengthens your autonomy and lets you consciously craft your future.  In order to be really be successful, you may have to whittle down and sharpen your saw – stay in tune with where you are and what is going on around you.

It is your choice.  Your current mental, emotional and behavioral habits craft your future.   You already know this, take the time to ask yourself some deep questions.  When you do, you will have taken the steps to attract into your life all the success, abundance, and happiness you desire.

Success and happiness comes from within, not without.
